CIBC Private Wealth Management Frosty 5K starts at 10:05 a.m.

Start Locations:

The New Balance Chilly Half Marathon will start at City Hall located at James Street and Brant Street (at 10:05 a.m.).

The CIBC Private Wealth Management Frosty 5K will start on Lakeshore Road and Brant Street in front of the Waterfront Hotel (at 10:05 a.m.).

Pre-Race Warm-Up Locations:

There are three (3) convenient indoor locations close to the both starting lines for you to warm-up and wait before your race.

Race Day Parking:

There are numerous lots near the start. (Please avoid parking in church lots.) Free parking available at Burlington GO Station with free shuttle service provided to race start. (Click here or on the map image below for detailed parking map.)

FREE Shuttle Bus Service:

Free shuttle bus service provided by First Student will be available from the Burlington GO Station and participating Burlington hotels to and from Race Bag Drop.

Shuttle Bus Departure Times from participating hotels are as follows for Sunday, March 4, 2018:

Admiral Inn: 8:20 a.m.

Comfort Inn: 8:30 a.m.

Holiday Inn: 8:40 a.m.

Best Western: 8:50 a.m.

(There will be a dedicated Shuttle Bus for guests at the Quality Inn.)

Quality Inn: 8:30 a.m.

(If staying at another hotel, please make your way to one of the nearest hotels listed for pick-up.)

For runners traveling by car or train:

     

Departures from the Burlington GO Station North Parking Lot (located at 2144 Queensway Drive) will run continuously starting at 7:45 a.m.

All Shuttle Buses will drop off at and pick up from the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

Return Shuttle Buses will run continuously from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Baggage Check:

Baggage check will available race morning at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre beginning at 7:45 a.m. (Please bring a donation of $2 to $5 for baggage.)

New Balance Chilly Half Pace Bunnies:

The Running Room will provide Pace Bunnies for the 2018 New Balance Chilly Half Marathon for a wide range of finishing times. They will include continuous run as well as run/walk. Check back closer to race weekend for the exact times.

(To find your pace group at the start, look for the Pace Bunnies holding a sign with their projected finishing time.)

Awards & Award Ceremonies:

The Awards Ceremony for CICB Private Wealth Management Frosty 5K begins at 11:30 a.m. at Burlington Performing Arts Centre. The Awards Ceremony for the New Balance Chilly Half Marathon begins at 12:30 p.m.

• Prizes will be awarded to the Overall Male and Female winners and Overall Masters Male and Female winners, as well as to age category winners in the 2018 New Balance Chilly Half Marathon & CIBC Private Wealth Management Frosty 5K.

• Awards will include medals as well as prizes courtesy of New Balance, the Running Room, VR PRO, and other sponsors.

Post-Race Party:

Post-Race Chili Party sponsored by Stagg Chili -

Stagg Chili will be served post-race at 4 Downtown Burlington locations (most are very close to the finish). The locations include: The Coop at 370 Brant Street, Emma’s BackPorch at 2084 Old Lakeshore Road, HoneyWest at 399 Elizabeth Street, and Wendel Clark’s at 380 Brant Street. (Note: The Coop will be serving chili only - no beer will be available at this restaurant location.)

THE 2018 ONTARIO MASTERS ROAD RACE SERIES

The New Balance Chilly Half Marathon is proud to be part of the 2018 Ontario Masters Road Race Series.

Ontario Masters Athletics offers fun and competitive opportunities to compete in road racing, indoor and outdoor track & field, cross country and race walking events to anyone over 30.

Medals are awarded in 5-year age groups. You only compete with people in your own age/gender category for medals.

Every race you run in the Road Race Series will give you an age-graded score (which is a way of putting all race participants on a level playing field). That score places you accordingly in overall standings.

You are eligible for overall awards in the OMA Road Race Series if you run at least 3 of the races.

Membership in the OMA is only $35.

2018 Race Weekend Expo & Packet Pick-up is being hosted by Mercedes-Benz Burlington, located at 441 North Service Road in Burlington, Ontario. (Please park along Yorkton when visiting the race expo and / or picking up race kits. If you arrive after 5 p.m. on Friday, March 2 or anytime Saturday, March 3, you may also park at the Burlington Christian Academy.)

You must pick up your race kit & chip during the following times:

    • Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    • Friday, March 2, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    • Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET OR CHIP PICK-UP!
